GN Separation has recently completed the manufacture and delivery of a 14-inch sludge dewatering Decanter centrifuge package for a wastewater treatment project in Southeast Asia.
The successful delivery demonstrates GN’s continued expertise in providing integrated solid-liquid separation solutions for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications.

As environmental regulations become increasingly stringent across Southeast Asia, wastewater treatment facilities are under growing pressure to improve treatment efficiency and ensure compliance with discharge standards. One of the key challenges in modern wastewater treatment is the effective removal of fine and ultrafine suspended solids, which can significantly impact effluent quality and overall operating costs.
To address these requirements, GN supplied a complete sludge dewatering package consisting of a 14-inch high-speed Decanter centrifuge and an automatic polymer dosing unit. By integrating chemical conditioning with centrifugal separation technology, the system is capable of achieving efficient solid-liquid separation even when treating challenging sludge streams.

In conventional wastewater treatment processes, mechanical separation equipment is typically effective in removing relatively large suspended particles. However, finer particles often remain difficult to separate. GN’s polymer dosing unit automatically prepares and injects polymer into the sludge stream, causing fine and ultrafine particles to aggregate into larger flocs. These flocs can then be efficiently separated by the high centrifugal force generated within the decanter centrifuge, resulting in significantly improved separation performance.
The integrated system offers several operational benefits, including enhanced removal of suspended solids, reduced sludge moisture content, lower transportation and disposal costs, improved process stability, and better compliance with environmental requirements.
The supplied 14-inch decanter centrifuge is specifically designed for small- to medium-capacity sludge treatment applications.
